You've heard the old adage, "If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself."
at Maurer Woodshop, master cabinetmaker Clint Simpson builds everything himself, right here locally.  Absolutely NOTHING is sub-contracted out.  That means you can be assured that our quality standards are consistent from the first cabinet we craft for you, until the last.

All of Maurer Woodshop's projects are built one at a time, by a single master cabinet maker, not an entire crew of hourly workers like our competition.  We use the finest cuts of choice woods, and combine the latest precision technology with Maurer Woodshop's time honored traditions and skill. 

Maurer Woodshop's cabinets & vanities are built using the same techniques as the finest pieces of furniture are.  We start by using 3/4" solid plywood for the sides, top, bottom, shelves, and back.  You will usually find other shops use 3/8" particle board in their construction.  We also use solid hardwood for all drawer construction.  We build the drawer using the classic dovetail joint.  Dovetail joints are not only beautiful, but are the strongest joint known to woodworkers.  This means that your drawers will be as strong and like new 20 years down the road.  Our competitors have been known to use plywood for their drawer construction, and believe it or not, will in most cases use a simple butt joint with glue and staples!!  If you want a dovetail joint, it is an up charge!! NOT at Maurer Woodshop.
